Contributing
Thank you for considering feedback or contributions to Health Youpu / 健康有谱.
This project is an open-source health literacy book for families. The goal is not to add as much content as possible. The goal is to make health judgment safer, clearer, and easier to use.
What Helps
Useful contributions include:
- reporting factual errors, outdated links, or overconfident wording;
- improving warning-sign language and medical boundaries;
- recommending official sources, clinical guidelines, professional society materials, or high-quality reviews;
- improving reader flow, navigation, mobile readability, and practical templates;
- suggesting clearer family communication, doctor-visit preparation, or record-keeping workflows;
- adapting Chinese source pages into English without turning them into literal machine translations.
What Does Not Fit
Please do not contribute:
- individual diagnosis, treatment, prescription, medication stopping, or personal medical advice;
- supplement, anti-aging, medical device, testing, or health-product marketing;
- copyrighted course text, OCR, screenshots, PDFs, audio, or long excerpts without permission;
- changes based only on a single news story, single study, or personal anecdote;
- wording that makes readers think the project can replace clinicians, emergency care, or individualized medical judgment.
Medical Safety Standard
High-risk medical statements should be calibrated against official institutions, clinical guidelines, professional associations, or other high-quality public sources.
Be especially careful with:
- emergency warning signs;
- screening recommendations;
- medication boundaries;
- chronic disease thresholds and targets;
- mental-health crisis language;
- pregnancy/postpartum warning signs;
- children, older adults, immunocompromised people, and people with serious chronic disease.
When uncertainty exists, wording should preserve uncertainty rather than force a simple answer.
How To Report Issues
Use one of the issue templates:
- Reader feedback: unclear wording, missing scenarios, navigation issues, or practical-tool feedback.
- Medical boundary feedback: wording that may delay care, overstate certainty, sound like diagnosis or treatment, or miss a high-risk boundary.
Please do not include medical records, ID numbers, phone numbers, addresses, insurance numbers, or other sensitive personal information.
Chinese Source Edition
The Chinese edition is currently the source edition. English pages are preview adaptations unless otherwise marked.
If you are adapting a Chinese page into English:
- preserve the medical boundary;
- preserve the practical model;
- adapt examples for English-speaking readers where needed;
- do not expand medical claims beyond the Chinese source;
- keep links and metadata consistent.

感谢你愿意参与这个项目。这里最重要的不是增加文章数量,而是提高健康判断质量。
可以贡献什么
- 发现事实错误、表述过度或链接失效;
- 提出更清楚的危险信号或医学边界表达;
- 推荐官方机构、专业协会或高质量综述资料;
- 改善章节的读者场景、结构、语言和行动清单;
- 补充模板、清单和家庭协作流程;
- 帮助把中文源稿改写成英文,而不是逐字机器翻译。
不接受什么

- 保健品、抗衰产品、健康设备营销;
- 未经许可的课程原文、OCR、截图、PDF、音频或长段摘录;
- 以单篇新闻、单篇研究或个人经验直接改写医学结论;
